Dear Colleagues!
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is a pleasure to invite you to the
regional conference on “Promoting Health in GCC, current and future
prospects.”
Health promotion is the core theme of this conference. An informed
scientific committee has designed an exciting comprehensive scientific
program to bring together leaders in this rapidly emerging field! It provides a
great forum for health educators, physicians, and scientists working in
different medical branches. Keynote addresses will be delivered by renowned
international experts to provide a global perspective to the Gulf health
priorities. All activities are registered in CME offices in KIMS (Kuwait Institute
for Medical Specialization), Faculty of Public Health FPH, Kuwait.
The conference will provide a unique opportunity to share knowledge and
experiences; to assess future trends in the diagnosis, prevention and
treatment of various diseases in relation to community health rather than
individual illness; to introduce, update and instigate state-of-the-art
information and to evaluate achievements in the field of health in relation to
polices, environment, safety, and community initiatives. Life style related ill
health is increasing internationally. The gulf is no exception; hence, Health
promotion is attracting an unprecedented attention and focus with policy
makers. Physician’s role is the corner stone in ‘Re-Engineering’ of healthcare
systems in line with high technology and ethical aspects of a complex, rapidly
changing medical practice.
Kuwait has pleasant mild spring weather in March - an ideal time for a
national / regional get-together for a medical conference. It provides an
invaluable opportunity to experience the fabled Kuwaiti hospitality and culture
to all colleagues from the Gulf and other Arab countries and our international
guests.
